Have any of you joined APL for a month ? I keep checking it out as they seem like they give you alot for the money.
Only thing that has kept me from trying it has been pushy, 'used car salesman' pitches I've gotten from them in the past when I just would inquire about a partucular match, certain competitors, etc. I was afraid I'd have to deal with that stuff again when I eventually canceled a membership.
I never did it but can share a second-hand info if it has any value in your eyes. A pal of mine did. 1)He was unable to cancel his subscription when he wanted to and his cc kept being billed in spite of his protests. 2) Looks like he was required to pay extras for some material inside without being warned before his subscription. However,it was a while ago and I can't recollect all the details of his disappointment now. Perhaps, it'll help
Thanks for the info. I'm always afraid of that kind of stuff ; I also had joined a site which didn't have a 'cancel my subscription' button that many have now. It was a real pain in the ass to finally get them to respond but the time they did, it was the day after the renewel date so that got me for another month .... give them credit for how shrude they were.
Only because I asked APL about something a long time ago and the sales pitches went on forever, I've been hesitant to join.
I used to have an APL membership. The only problem is that your subscription automatically renews for the same term if you fail to notify APL of your desire to cancel. Other than that, it is a fine site with a lot of different material for different tastes.
