I havent paid much attention to Double Trouble (DT) since Shelly the Burbank Bomber was their Queen Bitch and many of you know how long thats been. I received a flyer in the mail (remember the US Postal Service?) and one of the fights between Christina Carter and Ariella caught my eye.A big problem I have with DTs DVDs is that they group fights (usually 3) that are in no way related in content. Its like buying a CD with one Beatles song coupled with tracks by Slim Whitman and Ashlee Simpson. I mean, who needs another Beatles tune?Since I didnt care for the DVD, I opted for the download and Im really glad I did.
Great mp4 video quality and I love the concept.Christina is a MILF-ish milky-skinned brunette whos fighting for her sugar daddy Bob.We dont see Bob, but hey, somebody has to hold the camera. I love that someone is watching them fight.Ive never understood videos where the girls appear to fight with no one watching, whats the point?
The battle begins with both women talking smack and then going off to get ready for the fight.Bob gets to watch both women strip and then get their sexy fight outfits on. Lucky Bob.Its great to see two bitchy, dominant brunettes go at it too. Not enough fights between the dark haired ladies.
The fight had a little something for everyone, foot and ass worship, face smothers and even some tribing. I liked this one so much I ordered two more fights over Bob between Christina and sexy Asian porn star Kianna, and then voluptuous blonde Karen. Enjoyed both immensely.
Love to hear if anyone else has discovered the Bob series and other fights by DT youd recommend.

Nice review, thanks for posting. Christina Carter strikes me as a buxom Cali Logan: way too campy. My preference for competitive or semi-competitive over scripted isn't because one must necessarily be more erotic than the others. It's because in the current state of play, the class of women who'll do fight fetish videos are generally better wrestlers than they are actresses.

I first started watching DT videos in the early 90's, when they first came on the scene. They seemed the logical successor to Golden Girls, with the wrestlers quite gorgeous, if a little less somehow wholesome. You traded in Elsa and Kim for Christine Dupre.
But soon after I got my first tastes of Academyand DWW. My points are two fold: 1) DT has held fast to its formula for 20 years, showing remarkably little progression in the erotic area. The videos they released 2 decades ago are little different than the ones released today. Compare that to DWW. 2) If you like the content, more specifically the agression factor, of DWW/Fighting Dolls and Foxy Combat, I think you are going to be left, in the words of John Malkovich in "Rounders" unsatisfied by DT. If you like realistic over fantasy, DT videos are frustrating.
That said, DT has produced some memorable moments, especially the long ago "Super Bowl" series, the best Pro-Am wrestling I have ever seen, largely thanks to Belinda.
One nice memory I have is of my long-lost VHS of DT-118, Julie Winchester, who never interested me, vs. Lynn Marie, who very much did. About halfway through, Lynn Marie delivered about the worst kick in the pants she could to someone who'd just spent >$100 in today's money to see her in erotica: she burst out laughing uncontrollably. This wasn't the cute nervous giggling of a Shauna Ryanne new to the genre; it was a veteran performer breaking the fourth wall and telling us what she really thought of us perverts. Even with that, though, the video still had lots of redeeming footage of an enhanced Lynn Marie topless and in peril, en route to the inevitable job via (IIRC) a sexy figure four leg scissor choke out. Just as Mario Batali talks about limiting the window for error in the kitchen, having a woman as hot as Lynn Marie means a video can only get so bad. I pretty much forgot about that tape when Treena and I both moved on to more erotic and somewhat more serious productions. Only recently, with the way things have been going, have I been thinking back on that match, wondering whether I had any right to take for granted the bizarre and temporary delusion producers were under that women in erotic videos should actually be attractive.
The Batali reference has me grinning that grin that cannot be wiped away, the kind of grin I last had on acid in the 70s. Batalis reference point is always Italian, and they are all about the quality of the product. So, your point is well taken. If you put Juliana and Sarah (FC) on a mat, or Kim-Ly and Mary-Ann (FD), in the words of the wisest man on Earth, Tony Bourdain, you have done all you can do: put yourself in position for a great meal (match).
The opposing western culinary camp, the French, believe it is all about technique overcoming product. But no amount of dazzling brazing skill can make a Catzreview video tender and tasty. It is what it is. I am less a fan of Treena than you. But she had the one great match for CW against Chandra Fayme. Still watch it from time to time.
As far as the dearth of attractive women cavorting about for our pleasure in our genre of choice, the best explanation I have ever heard came from another wise man, the late great AcademyBruce. He said, why should an attractive woman break a sweat and risk injury wrestling for $700 when she can suck ****, and smoke pot between takes, for $1500?
Finally, I heard from a friend of mine from across the Bay, a poster and artiste of some renown, and I believe he is on his way here.

If the great man were alive today, this would make for one more spirited discussion. Hans Morgenthau condemned the grand moralistic rhetoric of the Cold War era (how timely, though) for its inability to distinguish the desirable from the possible, and the desirable from the essential. Here, the hot woman is the essential while anything that entails a nonnegligible risk of injury isn't even desirable. You do whatever you need to to get the hot woman. If that means banning certain holds that's fine, and if it means banning all submissions that's fine too; VSL shows that pins can be just as sexy. Priorities.
Just one off topic comment (it's not like there are lots of on topic comments around here ) if I may. Last night, with his airplane bathroom humor - over dinner, no less - Bourdain finally crossed over into Rachael Ray territory, where the strong personality overwhelms whatever valued content is offered. Too much Tony, not enough Toronto; too much Rachael, not enough stoup. I go a ways back to when there was only PBS, then known as educational television. The hosts saw themselves as instructors, not Howard Stern wannabes. Now Mario Batali, while a distinctive personality, manages a high signal to noise ratio.
John, I fear you may be mistaking Tony (Wisest Man on Earth) Bourdain's holiday in Canada (BTW, which town is Toronto? Is that the one where they speak French?) with the adventures of Karl Pilkington (certainly not the wisest man on earth; perhaps the most reluctant) in Alaska. Karl got all "wound up" when he not only had to have a sleepover in an uninsulated hut in sub zero weather but was told he would have to wipe his ass with a sharpened triangle of ice.
Hope this clears things up and gets you back on point.

Julie Winchester's been known to to both, I'd recommend checking out the '80's classic "Stiff Competition" to see her skills in another kind of ring... I think for many of Southern Cali's "working girls" the catfight studios were just another quick way to turn a buck...
oh, and your referrence to Chandra Fayme, LOVED this girl in CW's "Chandra Undressed" with a very YOUNG Venus Delight...
