I'm going to preface this review by stating my preferences so anyone reading this will know where my bias lies: - I'm strictly into FvsF. I have no desire to watch or participate in MvsF - I can't stand facesitting or any-type of soft lesbo kissing action in FvsF. If I want to I can see all the hot girl on girl action I need to live 5-6 days out of the week. -I'm not a big fan of punching, hair-pulling, face-slapping or any pro-style moves or maneuvers. As a matter of fact it pisses me off when someone clutters up FvsF videos with that ****. I want to see close body contact leg entwined T2TC2C breast-twisting, crotch-grabbing action -If you're one of those stiff upper lip pretentious pencil-dicked bastards who claims they only watch women's wrestling for the thrill of the technique involved and the competition of the sport you can stop reading now. If your dick doesn't get hard when you watch FvsF you've either wasted your money or you're not watching it with a similar caliber of interest. That being said let's get on with it...
CA WildCats\VSL D081 Summer Sweat: The Lightweight's Ordeal
What can you say about a VSL DVD that teams Hot Body Hurricane Havana with 2 women trained by the incomparable Helen Von Mott of Virago (Sweet-Ass albeit retired Amy-O and Tia) and the amazing Nadege? The one thing you can be guaranteed is that you're going to have one hell of a fantastic FvsF (2 DVDs) for a great price. I could go over the checklist with lighting, camerawork etc etc...but that would be recursively redundant since these guys set the standard by which myself and many others measure all the other products. Simply put the camera-work and lighting is at a level that's beyond comparison to anything else I've seen (and I've seen a lot). With regards to the wrestling, I'd be remiss in providing a comprehensive review if I didn't stop at this point and comment on how important it is for producers to understand what makes great FvsF action. Helen knows. Marty and Tricia Know. Men don't buy FvsF to see who wins the match as much as to enjoy the action during the match. During the match between Nadege and Tia there was no instance when Nadedge was in any danger and yet the match looked great because Nadege was confident enough to move through positions and holds that made the match enjoyable to watch even though she was a much better wrestler than Tia. The same can't be said for Hurricane's match with Tia because once she got Tia in a hold she thought the goal was to hold her there in that one position until she tapped out or gave up. This is a holdover from women that focus on Pro-style and haven't really focused on what makes a great FvsF. As a result this was probably the weakest match on the DVD (which is still head and shoulders above what you'd see anywhere else). Amy's such a great wrestler that watching her and Hurricane writhe around was an absolute pleasure appropriately climaxed by the competition between Nadedge and Amy. Whenver these two are paired together the only confirmed winner is anyone lucky enough to be watching. The goal for 2005 should be to get Helen to train another woman that can create a similar level of intensity in a match with Nadege (to be honest Helen's probably already trained 4 or 5 women who could fit this bill)...and while we're on the topic of Helen, let's all be real clear about the fact that she's almost single-handedly turned out hot top-notch consistent female wrestlers that have proven they can compete at any level in any arena. She's managed to raise the quality of FvsF produced in the US simply by her dedication, training and will-power...and that's mthrfckng impressive as hell in my book. So when you get talent from someone like this combined with the people who were the first and the best in providing product featuring drop-dead gorgeous women involved in the type of action FvsF fans had only dreamed about, you know you've got a MUST BUY DVD. I'll take it another step and say that after watching this DVD I'll buy everything in this series (D080,82 &83). It's that good!
After the appearance of DWW I haven't been interested in purchasing the product offered by another new producer except for Chaos and the occasional offering of Crystal Video where there are enough attractive participants involved that you don't feel the need to stamp the "Fighting for Bail" caption across their foreheads. When I saw the clip of this video on the Chaos site I smiled and shook my head in realization that these people finally had the good sense to create a clip featuring the things I want to see in FvsF that would physically force me to separate my dollar bills from the hiatus they were having in my back pocket. There's nothing like the anticipation of watching women in bikinis breast squeezing (and make no mistake, there's plenty of it and it's serious) and grabbing each other by the front of the panties to make any apathetic FvsF fan stand to attention and take notice. As I was watching the video I enjoyed it but had the sneaking suspicion something was missing. After watching the video again I realized I was suffering from the old "Things go Better with Breasts" syndrome. Now make no mistake, the action was great. The women in the video ranged from C minus to B minus in appearance and the camera-work and lighting was average (but keep in mind this is compared to CA Wildcats/VSL productions). There was almost everything you could want in a FvsF video but the main thing that makes this offering a MUST BUY is the breast squeezing and crotch grabbing with the one reservation being that the pleasure of watching breast squeezing in a FvsF production is more often than not directly proportional to the amount of breasts involved. All in all I liked what I saw and have 3 or 4 other DVDs I plan to purchase from this company.
One more thing that's important to note is that one of the biggest Ms. Takes female FvsF producers can make is disregarding the impact a wrestler's appearance has on whether or not men want to buy their product. Although age is irrelevant and not as important as physique and appearance, the physical attractiveness of a wrestler should never take a back seat to being well-respected or well-known among other women wrestlers. It's one thing to employ your friends or friends of friends but at some point where the rubber meets the road and the meat hits the seat producer's have to realize that with the internet and other producers like VSL, DWW and Academy featuring beautiful attractive women it doesn't do any good not to pay a bit of attention too the appearance and physique of the women that appear in your product. Even with the benefit of poor camera-work and bad lighting Butt-ugly can still seep through and create a paralysis on the nerve endings and reflexes that allow men to reach into their back pocket and place an order for your product. Now I'm not one of those people that thinks every woman in a video has to be a super model but it's a sure bet that if folks can't stomach looking at someone in broad daylight for free they probably won't want to spend money watching them on a DVD. That being said, a woman can be drop dead gorgeous and if the wrestling content isn't there I'm not going to buy the product. One more thing...if being Frank and Earnest is something others consider to be vulgar and inappropriate that's not a problem with me but I've never seen any reason to beat around the bush (NPI) with regards to what I like or dislike about a DVD and don't plan to do so in the future. One of the reasons the industry improved involved people communicating via the internet and trading notes about just this type of thing. I completely respect any producer that takes the time and expense of hosting clips of each of their matches and although CA Wildcats\VSL was one of the first to do this, Chaos is continuing in that practice and does a great job. I look forward to purchasing more products from both of these vendors in the immediate future.
Very nice reviews, Sketch! Man, I agree with you on that "Summer Sweat". It's a classic and one of the best anyone could have in their collection. These gorgeous girls really know how to wrestle and are totally into the proceedings, so it's sexy as hell to watch. The fact that the women are so passionate about the competition just sets this thing on a whole other level. You're guaranteed to use the freeze frame button a lot on this one! It's one of those that could produce a few thousand sexy screen caps.
My favorite matches are Tia v. Nadege (because Tia looks SO good being dominated by Nadege) and the incredible marathon match between Nadege and Amy that just goes on and on! This match has got to be the single greatest wrestling match ever filmed between two women. Nadege is a goddess and arguably the best pound for pound wrestler on the planet today. Amy is one of the few women who can give Nadege a truly competitive bout. It's worth the price just to have the match between these two.
I love your T2TC2C short form..... Very good review but have to disagree with one point and ask another question.
I have over and over raved about what I consider the best match I've ever seen, Beatrice Goffin vs. Leonie. These two did not like each other and really go all out in two videos I have. They are topless and obviously (imo) do not meet to your liking on the attractiveness scale, but do have nice strong bodies and an incredible drive to win. You'd also appreciate that there is a lot of tight action. I just wonder how this compares to the incomparable Nedege and her close friend (rofl) Amy who have a very tight relationship off the the mat and in the bedroom? May be it is knowing the personal animosity between the two that makes it so much better. They fight within the rules, know the stakes are high and battle to the bitter end.
Very few videos meet that criteria. Any you know like this????
