They're on Myspace too, but I happen to be boycotting Myspace, so you'll have to search for that on your own.
I've been keeping an eye on their Youtube account for a while now, and now with this latest clip they've reached the point where I'd consider buying from them:
I agree about sexier outfits but that isn't stopping me for buying, it's the sideline cheering and instructions I can't put up with. It isn't just them I'm 'picking on' with this stuff , it's any event that has it. Only thing that could make it worse would be the addition of a male ref.
The first Women's Wrestling Convention drove me nuts when the Virago camp never shut up when their girls competed against DWW's ;
" ... OK, now grab her left arm, higher , yeah that's it good, good .... now roll to your right ... keep that hold ... watch her legs .... tuck your chin .... stay there, don't let go ... good , you've got her now ... just ride it out ... triangle , triangle , go for the triangle .... " STFU already ! I had to shut it off.
I really want to go to the next TUFF event ... it's within a couple hours driving distance for me but I don't know if I can stand all the instructional coaching during the show.
40 seconds into the fight: "Sacha, slap her in the stomach!" Slap her belly? What the ****? Much good that'll do her...
That clip is apparently just sparring, but watching it a second time I really enjoyed it. Compared to, say, Green Monster Wrestling, these girls really put some effort into it.
- Partly because their site design sucks. 281 full videos - unsorted. If ever I decided to purchase one of them, I'd never find it.
- Partly because they don't offer free preview clips.
- Partly because, judging from the preview photos, sooner or later one of the girls always seems to produce a dildo. ____________________________________________
Besides the ugly shoes in many of the matches , your reasons are the reasons I've never seen a match from them either. And they are the only company tht supposedly has a wresling match featuring a girl I fell in love with on Ultimate Surrender , Shannon Kelly.
While on the subject of websites , I'm in the middle of something pretty confusing to me with Amazon Productions .....
I'm waiting on another e-mail from someone there to explain where I went wrong but a condensed version is I ordered and downloaded a match , absolutely LOVED IT ( did a review of it immediately here in the review section ) and three days later couldn't access it any more . Instead, a box appeared to enter a username and password , which I didn't have to do before to view it or another of theirs I downloaded months before.
So after a few days of giving this glitch a chance to straighten out, I wrote to them explaining the problem. They in turn send it to the webmaster and today get an answer saying all is right, that I only had three days to watch the match. But like I said, I also bought an entire match from them months ago ( 'French Wrestling 2' ) and I can still watch that one anytime I want.
I went to te order page as I now recall seeing in small print something about 'three days' but I thought it meant you had three days to DOWNLOAD it ... not you were RENTING it for three days !
So I just wrote back and asked them to please point out to me how I can tell whether I am BUYING a download or RENTING it. I only bought the Xana vs Nadege match for $25. but would really be pissed off if I'd spent $50.00 on both featured matches and only got a three fukking day rental.
I'll report on what I'm told when I hear from them.
I wanted to order more because that are just my style of female wrestling - really fell for Xana :>) - but I'm not renting it ..... they can shove it all up their ass if that's how they do it.
Any of you ever run into this with them or anyone else ? Any clips I've bought , whether wrestling or not, were always able to be opened and watched after I bought them as long as I had them saved.
NOTE : I did go to their 'LEGAL' tab and see it does say that nothing can be "Proxy Cached" ... is this what it means ... that you can not save it for future viewing ?
Jim, give us the details of the file that you've downloaded and that is now on your hard drive. Name, file size, format, anything available. I remember that you're using a Mac, so I don't know exactly how to go about it. (In Windows, I'd right-click and choose Properties.)
Either what you've downloaded is not the actual video file itself (perhaps only a link to the file on the remote server), or the producer has tacitly implemented Digital Rights Management and an expiration date for his files. It does say "Pay Per Match" and not "Pay Per View" on the site itself, so expiration dates would be very misleading. Other sites do use them, Modelfight for instance, but they always label them very clearly as "rentals" to avoid disgruntled customers.
Proxy caching is something else. It concerns the way certain ISP's store and distribute information from web pages.
First , I didn't mean to hikjack this thread - if you want me to start something as a New Topic , say so .... and thanks for your help.
I checked on that info you wanted and the thing I immediately see is my problem item is listed as a WEB INTERNET LOCATION. The other Amazon item I downloaded is listed as a OUICKTINE MOVIE .
So , obviously that's where the problem is. I went to the page where I ordered from thinking I ordered from a different page or something or missed seeing something about renting as opposed to buying, but I don't see anything ... it was the same page as far as I can see.
I then went to 'French Wrestling 2' as if to order it seeing if there was anything different between that one and the one match I ordered from 'Wild Catfight 2 .' I can't see anything different on the order page with either of them. Both have that box saying ' Three day, non-re-curring ' right below the currency listing, but I don't remember that with the first order. I do remember it the second time but thought that time span was just the time I was given to download it, NOT that I was spending a retail price for a three day rental.
Maybe I'm missing something ... hope someone can point it out so I don't do it again if I decide to order from them again.
Here's the link to the page if you'd like to check it out. I hope I screwed up and the site hasn't gone bad because there's alot there I'd like to HAVE .... NOT RENT .
Well. I just heard back again from Marc on the Amazons site and he said it is not a rental , it's a download.
I'd try to go more into it with him but it's hard to do when they write in 'broken English', it's too easy for one to misunderstand the other. In one e-mail he said I had three days to watch it and now says it's not a rental but a download, LOL . He suggested I order rthe DVD and he'll give me another free.
It's a nice offer but I'd still like to know what happened with the second one and what the 'three day - non recurring' means on the order page. I've gotten spoiled with downloads and would hate not to be able to do it without the 'coin toss' on $25-$50 and whether it'll work or not.
I have seen the "three days non-recurring" phrase used on other sites, East Coast Cats I believe, and it usually refers to the number of days you are given to complete your download. I haven't seen the phrase used as the only indication that you're downloading an expiring file.
Now, the file on your hard drive that is listed as a web internet location, if you check the size of it, I think you'll see it's only 1 kilobyte or so, right? That's not a video file.
I'm fairly certain what happened was that you logged in with your transaction ID and password to download the video, but clicked the wrong command. I don't have the Safari browser, so I don't know the details, but maybe there are commands called "Save Target File" and "Save Link" or "Save Shortcut". It's the target file you usually want. In any case, you only downloaded a link to the location of the file on the company's web server. When you opened that link on your hard drive, your web browser directed you to the remote file, and you still had access to it because you were still logged in with your transaction ID. Your transaction ID is now invalid, which is why you get that box asking you for a password when you open the link on your hard drive again.
You could try politely explaining this to the site's customer service and asking them to renew your access to the file, so that you can download it properly. Customer loyalty ought to mean everything to the producer, so try something along the lines of "I was going to buy some more of your clips, but then I noticed that..."
You could also try another solution. When your web browser opens a remote file, it usually saves it to your hard drive in a so-called cache folder. This cache is cleared periodically, but if you're lucky the video might still be there. If you don't know how to find the cache folder, have your computer search your hard drive, including any hidden folders, for all files with the extension .wmv, which is the format Amazon Productions uses. If you have many videos on your hard drive, you'll get very many hits, but perhaps you can sort them alphabetically or just scroll through them to find a file with "Xana" or "Amazons" or "French Wrestling" in its name. If you do find such a file, copy it from your cache folder to your regular folder.
I guess I screwed up ; though can't see how. In my Mac I don't choose download commands when downloading anything ( that I've noticesd , anyway). The way it works with me is the order goes through and you just click on a highlighted address and the download starts and ends up on my desk top. I usually leave it there awhile before putting it away into my Documents folder. I remember in my PC you did a ' Save Target As ' ... but not with my MAC.
The file size of the problem download is 4KB not 1KB like you thought it might be.
Whatever happened , it's happened before because like I said I have a few unimportant things I downloadd but can no longer open and they too say 'Web Internet Location' but because they were something that came in a subscription and were small, etc; I never paid it any attention.
If I screwed up ( obviously I did ) I didn't do so by thinking about what to click on as if I had a couple choices .... the way it's been since I started with this MAC was just clicking on the highlighted address after their " Thank you for your order , here's your download ... " and it would just be on my desk top.
Oh well ... I wish I could do a dry run on an order to see where I fukked up ; I don't want to try it with another $25. and blow it again. I'm now gun shy about ordering a download , especially a foreign site where they don't speak good English.
I'm not even going to bother trying and explain it to the guy at Amazon ; when you both don't speak the same language it's real hard to discuss computer problems .
I've talked with several companies both women "wrasslin" companies and other women-ly sites that do the latest an Gawd-awfulest rent our vids membership. Most simply don't want their stuff spread all over the net and this is a great way to do it. But, I disagree with ANY company sending dll, cookies, exe files into your system so they can target and read what you rent & open. If they don't explain that EXACTLY what they are doing is spyware and like some BIGTIME companies who did the same thing to keep watch on those buying vids and music can be punished by law. So check the fine print. Basically, you don't know these people aside from renting and in my eyes thats the lamest way not to get a customer. To me you pay money you should own it. And it would piss me off if ANYONE besides myself could gain access to my computer or stick something there thats useless. Again check their fine print.
Regarding idiots talking while women are wrestling or fighting if I were at an event (aside from one with thousand of spectators) I would bitchslap them so hard they wouldn't remember how to talk long enough for me to enjoy the match. Although I like in some crystal film vids how theres afew women encouraging the fighters. And, infact its sometimes more entertaining (at times)
Lesson to be learned: You don't always get what you paid for ... sometimes you rent what you pay for :)
I took some design classes and everyone there had a mac but me. Took me a while to get the hang of it, but after that I said screw mac. Now most everything mac program is compatable with pc. Although macs do have better sound and importantly graphics 9 times outta 10.
Now I see you screwed up on the download end of it. That blows, but you should simply write to the company and say you have a mac and had some problems. Tell them your subscription id or even your name and in two seconds they'll see you paid for it. And, they can look up the day span you had to download. They can see if you did actually download with the user and pass you were provided. And, if they don't give you the info tell em you didn't get what you paid for and you'll bitch to their credit card transaction company and hosting co. You can always call your credit card company and explain I didn't get what I wanted and show the mail they send to back it up. Then believe me they'll get their ass in gear and give you access. I had some dickbag give me problems awhile back after THEY f-ed up on the proper download file. Took a week of saying please until finally I had to play hardball. I don't like doing it, but again your the customer and YOUR always right!!!! I'm just evil today aint I?!
The goods and bads about being a customer you have them by the throat. You always have the upperhand.
Jim, it's most likely not a matter of you using a Mac, but rather an issue with the Safari browser. There are versions of both Firefox and Opera available for Macs that you can install as complements to Safari.
A video file is far larger than 4KB, typically 5MB/minute or so. When you've saved a file to your hard drive, or when it's been automatically saved by your web browser, check its size and its file extension. The extension should in most cases be .avi, .wmv, .mpg or .mov. The file should normally open directly in your media player, not in your web browser. If you find that Safari doesn't download the video file for you automatically and you don't feel like fiddling with its settings, try using another browser. I don't think you need to avoid downloads altogether because of this (except from sites that explicitly require Windows and Internet Explorer).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Partly because their site design sucks. 281 full videos - unsorted. If ever I decided to purchase one of them, I'd never find it.

I agree with you (Tomas) on the shift towards the more hardcore-it's not my taste either. But the gold is in the annex-where all those unsorted videos are, I assume (no longer a member of the site). That's all the older stuff, much of which is fantastic. Amy O. (Lewenski), Bobbie, Hannah (aka Janay), Karen Collins, Kandie, etc., were all really fit/good looking and surprisingly well trained. And the dildos didn't come out nearly as much back then.
