Competitive Catfights 4: I just revisited this one and was reminded why I've been holding on to this when I've deleted all my other Modelfight videos.

Obviously, Modelfight's main selling point has always been their exceptionally beautiful women. Unfortunately, the competition between those beauties has often been more like cuddling than fighting, and poorly acted cuddling at that.

This one is a real catfight, however, the most aggressive one I've seen from this producer. Submissions only. The women are fit and very evenly matched - the fight could have gone either way - and both are in a competitive mood. The blonde looks vicious when she's fighting, believe me. There are sexy, exhausted grunts from both women, and some light slaps are exchanged in pure frustration, apparently against the rules.

I won't spoil the end result, but I'll tell you what kind of fight it turns out to be:

It's a leg scissors contest of strength. If praying mantises turned human, THIS is how they'd fight, each wrapping her legs tight around her enemy's waist (and, occasionally, neck) while keeping her enemy's own deadly legs at bay. It's a sight to behold. They're like two agile gymnasts rolling around on the mat in a wild flurry of legs and then grinding their trapped rival down to submission or squirming to break free.

I reviewed another Modelfight video a few months ago which also turned out to be all about leg scissors. That one was dull beyond comprehension, and this one shows why. If a scissors contest is going to be exciting, the women need to be carefully matched by their strength and skill, so that the action will only intensify once either one is trapped between the other's legs. Both women need to be strong enough to pose a threat and strong enough to be able to break loose. Then there's actual suspense, for the women who are fighting and for the audience alike.

They pull some hair too, both to keep each other in position and because it hurts.

Foxycombat, pay attention: Modelfight are charging $20 for a download of this one. True, these women keep their tops on, but aside from bare breasts, there's nothing about Foxycombat's videos that would explain why they're asking for twice that amount.

Glad you are enjoying some of the things from Modelfight. I've bought things from them for awhile. The video you mention above is one that I just ordered the other day, but haven't seen yet. I'll let you know what I think as well.

They have always offered good looking women, but the fighting isn't always as intense as some likes. I don't mind the less intense stuff, but I do think their newer stuff is better.

Have you seen anything featuring Katie? She has got a great intensity, and a great body with some nice muscle under her smooth curves. I've only seen fight with her so far, but it was a great one, and it prompted me to order more of her fights (again, ones I haven't yet seen). The fight I have seen was her rookie fight against Jena. Jena was her friend, and they clearly are having fun, yet at the same time they pulled hair so hard I thought they were going to rip each other's heads off. An odd contrast of occasional giggling combined with some intense hard action. I actually think Jena was getting aroused. I've never seen Katie's opponent Jena since that fight, and it is a shame, because she gave a great effort. Would be great to see her go agains Alissa. Here is a link to the Katie/Jena fight.

That site is confusing as hell to me .... where do I find the Ferocious Foxes ?

I love Alissa from my DVD's of Chickfight so have always wanted to see her in her Modelfight matches but doubted I'd be happy with anything. Your reviews helped me make up my mind.

Did you order downloads or the DVD's ? Using a MAC computer, I always worry about them not mentioning problems with MAC's.

Appreciate the link for Ferocious Foxes if you could post it. Seeing Alissa and her opponent in the pantyhose and imagining them locking up in a grapevine had me close to ordering a number of times , LOL.

I agree about Katie. She's probably one of Modelfight's best fighters. I watched her hairpulling contest against Roxey, mostly to see what a hairpulling contest is like, and enjoyed it a lot. Then I bought her catfight against the same opponent, and was very disappointed. I can't tell you why without spoiling the fight.

I've also seen Katie's test-of-strength video against Alissa, and that one's cute, but giggly.

Katie has fought Alissa in a catfight, but I haven't seen it. My interest in Modelfight waned after I bought Competitive Catfights 6, also with Alissa, and found it to be not so competitive. When "hairpulling" amounts to carefully taking hold of your opponent's hair and making sure not to pull it, that's not what I call competitive. When you've got your opponent in a good hold and release her, for no apparent reason whatsoever except to make the fight more balanced, that's not what I call competitive. Don't misunderstand me: I see nothing inherently wrong with semi-competitive fights, but they really shouldn't sell them as "extremely aggressive submission wrestling", especially when their catalogue includes videos that actually do fit that description.

The poor design of Modelfight's site is rivalled only by Catfight Haven (the only site that lets you preview a vast selection of videos without actually telling you which of their videos the previews are from...).

Ferocious Foxes is here. I only found it through a link at their partner site Vqxmovies.com. That one is not with Alissa, however. You might be thinking of Bickering Babes, which BigChris reviewed on this board a couple of months ago.

I only buy downloads these days. Modelfight's videos are available through vqmovies.com. They're in digitally protected wmv format, so I suppose they require Windows Media Player.

Just a few additional thoughts about Modelfight. I'll followup later this week or next about my most recent purchases.

First, I'm not a big fan of Ferocious Foxes. I was really looking forward to it, after a pretty enjoyable fight between Caroline and Vanessa in a non-topless match, but I found it to be a disappointment. Vanessa is quite a pleasure to look at topless, as she is quite pleasingly buxom, but I think the girls were a bit intimated by each other and the fact they were fighting topless. It just seemed to take the wind our of their sales.

I've enjoyed every match that I've seen Alissa in, but I never bought the match you mentioned against Becky, mainly because I don't find Becky an appealing opponent. Glad I didn't waste my money.

Alissa vs Heather T was good, with some sexy moments. Hairpulling was of the kind you described, but there were some other great points with the sexy bodies tied up that made up for it. You said you enjoyed Alissa's catfight vs Lisa, well I can also tell you that Alissa's pin match vs. Lisa is one of my favorite pin matches ever.

Another match I enjoyed quite a bit was the catfight of Heather vs. Heather. Not a rip roaring match, but the girls are really hot and I think they had a rivalry based on looks. For some reason they had a hard time getting each other down, and spent alot of time grappling while standing, lunging in and out and coming to grips. I like that kind of action, so it was great for me.

Though I've only bought one of their Russian topless series, it was great and I plan on getting more of those.

When I get a chance to review these other videos I just got I'll post my thoughts in this thread.

Please do post your thoughts on those videos. Although I might have sounded terribly harsh on Modelfight, lately I've felt tempted to return to them.

Here I am, basically starving for some good new fights to my taste, but nobody seems to want my money. DWW has been boring boring boring ever since their focus shifted to their bland Hungarian section. Fightingstyle and Catfightfilms feel like they've been churning out the same fight for two years. New producers like Green Monster Wrestling and Kick Ass Girlz open up, produce a couple of clips containing the most basic mistakes imaginable, and then... er... rest on their laurels or something. Eastcoastcats can't get decent fighters. And then the gorgeous Foxy Combat web site finally opens up, and it turns out their token system was dreamt up by somebody on an acid trip, a very bad acid trip. Or maybe they forgot to tell CCBill that their prices were supposed to be in Czech currency.

All of a sudden, Modelfight doesn't look so bad, even with DRM and those tricksy product descriptions.

Yeah, I'll be happy to give my run down (a bit more organized next time) of some of the ModelFight matches that I have an like, including the ones I just got. I do drop most of my money with them, mainly because they are easy to work with and my tastes seem to run toward some of the things they produce.

I think that Jim mentioned this before, but I think that the production and quality of many video companies took a dive after Barb's site went down. I think part of it is the exposure her site gave and the business it drove their way, and I think the other part was that the aggressive message boards kept them honest, because they got called on bad business practices and product.

Yeah, I feel the disappearance of Barb's board hurt alot of producers for the reasons you point out and besides making some others lazy. By this I mean without your competition 'in you face' each week announcing their lastest release, you have a tendancy to relax. Add that to decreased sales ( that HAD to happen as a result of no Producers Board ) and you get less of a decent product which hurt the fan. :>/ I know I spend alot less now on this stuff because I'm not reminded everyday of the newest releases.

I never see old timers like DWW or CW advertise new releases anywhere ; I don't know if it's because they have enough reliable customers or they are just burnt out. Fighting Style I guess keeps on going as a result of the live shows - but except on their site and past customers who already know of them, how does anyone learn of them and the live events ? Is there another place these bigger guys are advertising that I don't know about ?

It's interesting to hear you guys disguss Model Fight because I am always looking at their stuff but never ordered due to the confusing website and not being able to find things I remember seeing when I feel like ordering.

With Alissa holding a special spot with me due to her magnificent appearences at Chickfight ( especially with her arch, real-life competition, Veronica ) biggrin.gif, I'm tempted to order more than ever from Model Fight, the matches featuring Alissa.

Matter of fact, I'd went to download 'Bickering Bitches' last night after reading Big Chris's review again, but didn't see where to order a download . From what I saw , you can only get in DVD ... or is this my misunderstanding of the site , again weirdface.gif ?

For some reason, Modelfight's downloads are split up in two sites: vqmovies.com for non-topless and vqxmovies.com for topless. This is not immediately clear from the site's design.

Bickering Babes is here. First, you download the file (quite slow, as I remember it), and when you open it up in Windows Media Player, a window appears with payment options allowing you to buy a licence to watch the clip on one computer only.

While on the general topic of Modelfight, here's one of their newer match-ups:

I just got done watching Competitive Catfights 4 (Lisa vs. Alissa) and I just have one thing to say in anticipation of my review of this and other recent downloads.

These girls need to be locked in a room and made to fight 15 different ways. As many different scenarios and rules as possible. These girls were made to fight each other. I know why you liked that one, Tomas.

Appreciate you going through the trouble of hooking me up with the page I needed, but after all that I couldn't download it because I find out through an e-mail to them that they are incompatible with MAC computers , LOL. It would be nice if they mentioned that as Chickfight and the 'Jenz' sites. do , but that wouldn't go along with the rest of the confusion on their site(s).

I'll have to be content with Alissa's sex battles with the other hotties on Chickfight, which isn't so bad - just expensive.

Though I'm always thinking about the sexiness of all of this, I was more interested in seeing Alissa doing some honest wrestling to get an idea of how accomplished she was. I don't expect to see her in a Fighting Styles tournament anytime soon but was curious about her wrestling ability.

Oh well ....

Jim: Judging from the handful of her fights that I've seen, Alissa could probably hold her own against some of the mid-level Fightingstyle girls, such as Melina and Lucretia. Though it's never easy to predict how somebody from one site's roster will fare against women from another site. I remember being very impressed by Karine when she was fighting for Fightingstyle, and being all the more surprised when she was downright butchered by some of DWW's Hungarians.

In any case, it's not the level of their wrestling skills in any absolute sense that made me enthusiastic about this video, but rather their skills relative to each other. When both women feel that they have a fair chance to win, but only if they put some effort into it, it will often make for a very spirited fight. And that's what I personally find sexy. (And on a more concrete level, the sight of two pairs of muscular legs tangling up as the women try to trap each other in those scissor holds also counts as sexy in my book!)

Isn't model fight tied in with the company "the game entertainment"? I've mentioned before about buying a vid a long time ago and it sucked so hard I never watched it again. Jerry H Christ I'd sell it on ebay but I see its being sold there weekly already. Fake, horrible wrestling with absolutely no endings yet it clearly states its real fighing and they go totally naked.... which they don't. Maybe an accidental nip shot. More so rolling around giggling!
I'm willing to shove it aside and I know every company makes mistakes and moves on. I've previewed model fights, but it just looks too tame for me. Atleast it does sound like they are starting to produce some great material for those who want it.

Thanks for the info. I'm so taken with Alissa right now from her trib wars on Chickfights I'm too excited to see her just wrestle without all the sexfight tactics to pass up ordering a couple DVD's . I ordered Catfight 4 since you make it sound so good and Bickering Babes because I'm such a sucker for girls wrestling in pantyhose.

" When I questioned what her skill level was it really dosen't matter as long as her opponent is her equal. many guys like decisive finishes to matches while I prefer matches too close to call.

Before I forget ; another girl I went completely nuts over who is an excellent wrestler is a sexpot named Shannon Kelly who wrestled for Ultimate Surrender. I haven't seen anything of her lately as she was one of the smallest girls there art about 95-100 lbs but just as sexy as could be and what a warrior despite being outweighed by 30 lbs. With her great wrestling skills I'm surprised no producer got ahold of her for a couple matches besides U.S. I told Mike at Chickfights about her and was hoping he could recrute her for a sexfight ... but so far nothing.

You happen to know who I'm talking about and if she did wrestle for anyone other than US and I'm not aware of it ?? Her matches ( excluding round 4's which I never watch ) at US were some of the sexiest ones they did ...

I don't know what your standards are for "tame", but Modelfight varies as much as most other producers. As far as the rules of the fight are concerned, they're certainly tame compared with, for example, the Black Sea Amazons. It's usually wrestling with some hair-pulling, scores being awarded for pins or submissions (which are gained by leg scissors and the occasional headlock). As for overt sexuality (breast-mauling, crotch-grabbing, face-sitting), there is none of that in the videos I have seen, but there may be some of it in their "fantasy" fights. Personally, I always look for intensity in the sense of the women's emotional investment in the fight, and that's where Modelfight is unpredictable to point of frustration. Competitive Catfights 4 is definitely far from tame in that regard. Competitive Catfights 6 and 8, on the other hand, are snoozers.

I hope you'll enjoy the video as much I have. I actually haven't subscribed to Ultimate Surrender (on account of the vocal nerd referee in the previews), but I looked at Shannon Kelly's photo and she doesn't seem familiar to me. There is apparently a members forum, so if you're still a member you can try asking there.
