Hey Barry...

In regards to Robin and her site ...any word from "ibill"? I got stiffed too so tell her not to feel too bad. I saw your post at ibillowes. A darn shame this muli-million dollar company did this to hundreds of great customers who made good money for them. I'm now having problems with etelegate who took over where they left off. And finding out ibill was taking money (rebills) even when I cancelled all my members. If it was anyone else we would be in jail. I don't see what excludes them from grand thieft.

I lost thousands at a time when I needed it most. Fortunately enough for them I didn't take a trip to Florida and get my money myself. But, my lawyer is looking into it right now.

Dear JSK,

I found Robin an attorney in Florida (corporate headquarters of iBill) who has filed suit against them on behalf of several clients, and has already obtained 4 judgments. The attorney believes he can collect on the judgments because although iBill owes more than it has, most of its creditors are not pressing iBill for payment.

If you want, or if anyone out there wants specific information on the attorney, please email me privately at barry18@gmail.com.

As a former iBill customer, I've been through the ringer as well.  Though my site is/was not as high volume as others, I'm fairly sure I've not received all compensation that was due me.  I do know of a model's manager who spent a great deal of time on the phone with them fighting to get monies due him.  If I recall correctly, iBill had payables somewhere in the neighborhood of a million dollars or more at one point.

When they migrated billing practices to etelegate I was immediately suspicious.  Particularly all the, what I felt was, unnecessary personal identity information they required.  Also the fact that they wanted to set up receivables before they took any payout information.  I envisioned them accepting purchase monies from my customers while they dragged their feet in arranging payouts.  And the fact that they charge a transfer fee for payouts on top of their processing fee struck me as greedy.  And being located overseas, I suspect going after them legally for due monies will be quite difficult.  Another down side.

I'm currently in the process of finding a more reasonable, locally based payment processor.  Any of you in the business can appreciate how hard that is.  From the extortion payments and ridiculous indentity requirements forced on us by Visa, to exorbitant processing fees processors charge for us in the "high risk" or "adult" market, it makes it tough to do business.  You would think with all the money tied up in adult businesses, someone would be leaping to get responsibly involved and reap the enormous financial rewards.

And my fans wonder why publication of the magazine gets delayed so much.

Jim...

It has nothing to do with how Robin is doing business now. She isn't using ibill which screwed over the web owners not the customers (such as yourself) Basically, it doesn't concern the customer at all. The way it went is you/customer pays and ibill who processed the trasaction then kept all the funds thus leaving the web owners with zilch. She now uses a different company as I will be doing so.

Hey Doc,

Oh yeah, ibill and etelegate are a bunch of crooks. I got screwed about 6 grand from ibill for the past monies owed. Ofcourse ibill claimed it was only 3 grand and I've heard so many stories now of them doing this to others hoping the screwed over client will just be happy getting anything. Now etelegate claims ibill was in control of my funds through out the month(s) of april til June although in April etelegate claimed they were in control of all funds and you needed to sign on with them for payment. I became suspisious aswell seeing them as an "Offshore payment company".

I even went as far as shutting my sign up page so no new members could join and cancelled all my rebills though ibill .... yet because of the "Switch over" with etelegate they continued to rebill without me knowing about it. And like I said somehow ibill still controlled the money? Go figure. I heard they owe acouple mill, not just a million but who knows.

Ibill took 15% per bi-monthly check. Then they had processing fees which claimed acouple hundred outta each check they paid me, reserve fees etc. They basically grabbed over 30% plus each check. To top it off the extortion payments to use visa ... $750.00 sign on and then the 350.00 annually. I was going to jump **** but my rep who I trusted kept telling me to stay with them. Plus, I had so much invested I was afraid of losing that if I did. Lets not forget to use visa on a pay site and if I did change over to "lets say" ccbill I would then have to shell out the innitial $750 again and with making no money the past 6 months or so it wasn't worth it.

Oh I plan on talking to attorney's thats for sure. I want to see jail time and huge settlements from those ibill bastards. The worse thing is my wife and I were doing so well with the money we made from my site and then x-mas 2005 they stopped paying me until that feb. And from then on the payments were never correct. Just the worse experience I've ever delt with while being in business.

If they were located in Massachusetts I would have had my money by now or been in jail.

You can join Robin's site or any site that uses a web merchant to process credit card payments without concern as long as it is encrypted. Robin and others were stiffed by iBill and have switched to another merchant to process these payments. If there were any problems it would be with the website owner, not the customers, should the merchant fail to pay the website owner.
