Other than taking into account different time zones, maybe Barb's site will still survive well beyond Aug. 31st. The important sections--doing and thinking--really valuable info sections--are still hangin' on, and the links section--although outdated, but still very useful--is still up (damn !!! ... I still use it !!!).
Point is, these parts will always have value and purpose--no time factor really affects them. (The links, less so, but, other than the old ones, there are the ones that have staying power--quality never goes out-style.)
Hang in there, Barb, you're sure as hell not "old school" yet ... and not for a helluva long time, either, imho.
Yeah, I agree with you .... I don't think the place is 'out dated' or that Barb is 'too old' to be doing it - but obviously she doesn't want it anymore. You can't argue with her about that ; it's her site , she runs out of her pocket it so she should do what she wants. And why would anyone want to try and talk her into to continuing something she dosen't want to do ?
But I keep tuning in there as I expected to read something from her before the end of the month as she said she was going to do ... but doesn't seem like it. The fact that someone else wasn't set up to continue it makes me think it was a spontaneous decision. The way in which she went about closing the place isn't the way I would have expected her to do it when the time came. I just hope it is all because of some of the jerks pissing her off one last time and not because of health issues.
