While gearing up for this year's FetishCon in Tampa next month, I was saddened to learn that one of my models, Clarissa Doll, passed away earlier this year. The AVN website states that it appears she may have taken her own life.
Only 26 years old -- what a tragedy!
I found her to be a blast to work with, and had a lot of fun doing the shoot with her and Charlee Chase. Not that you can tell these things after a few moments with someone, but she certainly seemed at ease with herself and did not appear to be harboring any demons.
How sad it is that so many of these women end up dead at such an early age. You see so much of this sort of thing with porn actresses and those in more hardcore businesses. Clarissa was more of an adult model, though she had done a little porn early on.
I'm sort of at a loss for words. This is my first loss in the business. It makes one appreciate those who have hung around -- Hollywood, Christine Dupree, etc.
