Has anyone tried the new VQ Movies site? It's from Modelflight. It allows rental or purchase of full videos via download. I like the idea of it quite a bit, and have purchased a few things, but I had a question. If I download something on my current machine, which has a weak video card, is the quality doomed to stay at the same level as it currently looks on my computer, or if I should upgrade would the video quality of my download also improve?

If you haven't seen the site yet, you can check it out here VQ Movies.com. Their regular site is at Modelfight.com.

Generally, what are your thoughts of Modelfight? I actually think they are getting alot better, and like the real nature of the fights. They aren't trying to make the girls to be more than they are, but are allowing them to behave in a realistic manner. I've noticed, for instance, that this new girl that has started filming with them has all the other girls rivalry piqued. I like that they give a peak inside in the news section where they recound girls requests to fight each other. You can tell it's real and not hyped which is cool. I also think that they girls they have fighting there are some of the best looking girls that consistently fight (not just on one or two videos).

For some the action may not be intense enough, but I think they have a great combination of intensity, realism, and good looking girls. I'm really sick of the contrived scenario catfights that try to make out the girls as bloodthirsty catscratchers, when you know it's really just fake. Modelfight does have the fake setup types, I should note, but they are clearly divided from the others so I can stay away from them. Modelfight divides action by both type and intensity, and they are pretty helpful when you write them asking for advice.

Hi Kent,

I'm familiar with the VQ movies website you mention and I also have purchased from Modelfight.com.

I've recently joined Catwalk Club...

Which is a nice cheap way of seeing some short clips of the numerous VQ Movies available.

Your existing graphics card will have no permanent effect at all on the files you download if you were to upgrade your graphics card at a later date. They are two completely separate things.

Go for ATI or GeForce when you do upgrade as they are the main two manufacturers and this ensures compatibility.

So yes, if your upgraded new graphics card was significantly better than your existing one there would be a noticeable improvement.

Modelfight have 100% beautiful models fighting for them and 25% fights really competitive fights in their catalogue. When they indicate that something is 'very aggressive' it's not necessarily 'very aggressive'. All the women have the potential for good fighting but it only on certain matchups that their opponent brings that out in them. Many is the time it is a playful and careful role-around with careful considerate hair-pulling thrown in. Then again there are other matches where the true competitive spirit comes out and they pull and tug and scream and get nasty.

Cheers

Dio

The ferocious foxes match between Caroline and Vanessa Harding/Lesley Coulton was one of the best things I saw last year. Attractive women wrestling on a mat, the final fall being one where they went at it for real, for around 14 minutes. Just great stuff alround.

The topcat club was fantastic value when it first started as they would put up whole matches at a time, probably naively not realising that that there would be no need for the purchase of the dvd if you could download the whole match.

After a couple of months they changed the format and made it a clips site, and (wisely) introduced the video on demand site.
