I used to have a slight crush on Kirsten Dunst, then I heard her talking in an interview. Geez! Still, this Bettie Page imitation from Rolling Stone sparked my imagination. She's probably the one actress I'm most anxious to see in a good movie catfight (no, that brief one in Drop Dead Gorgeous doesn't count).
EDIT: Well, my cache fooled me, hotlinking didn't work. I'll give it another shot, they're quite worth the effort.
The director, Terence Young, later went on to do The Amazons. Why would a high-profile star director stoop to do b-movie trash? Maybe because it would give him the opportunity to see his wife in a topless ritual wrestling match.
I've read that Young was very meticulous about the gypsy fight. There's got to be lots of unused material in an archive somewhere. From Russia With Live: The Restored Cut as Originally Intended by the Director - that's one DVD I'd buy in an instant.
Thanks for posting this, Tomas. There are several things you have posted recently on this board that I had found before I started my site site and then couldn't after I made it, and this Kirsten Dunst photo set is one of them.
I also need to thank you for the Fighting Fish video, which I had also lost track of. I haven't had a chance to look at your two "buildup videos" but since that's a big part of my site I'm probably going to use that one, too.
I'm going to have to give you source credits!
Would you be able to email me larger versions of the Dunst pics to my email? (I just sent it to your user page private message on this site).
I'm always happy to see catfight-related material in mainstream press and TV, even though it's mostly tongue-in-cheek and not seriously erotic. I can't help but wonder what Kirsten was feeling while she was posing, whether she thought it was exciting or just silly. She doesn't seem to be fully at ease in the final pictures, and maybe that's why they're so captivating.
Here's that scene from Drop Dead Gorgeous:
It's more like an elementary school spat than a catfight, but I certainly would have liked it to go on uninterrupted.
On second thought, the closest we'll ever get to seeing Miss Dunst in a catfight is probably her look-alike Kati of DWW fame. She's the redhead in these (nudity):
She's one of my favourites for her charm, even though I don't believe she ever made that perfect fight video I was always hoping for. (She came closest to it in DWW-335.)
That really does look like her. She's got a good body, too. I don't remember her in any of the DWW vids I've purchased... I guess most of her stuff was forgettable. I went to the girls database on DWW and she doesn't look as much like Kirsten in that photo, but she really does in some of these you posted.
Ah, yes, in her profile photo she doesn't look much like Dunst, or even much like herself for that matter. She used to be mostly in erotic "rubbing" fights, but then she did a straight wrestling match in lingerie with her garterbelt attached to her opponent's stockings and got my attention immediately.
The one fight of hers that I've saved for keeps in my special folder is from the Slim Chance video. It's against Maryna, very hard fought, very even, very exciting. It does miss the spot, but only barely, and that's for two reasons. First, Maryna is wearing this horrendous black-and-white striped bikini bottom that simply has no place in adult entertainment. Second, two of the submissions come very abruptly by choking, including the final one, and it's impossible to tell whether it was intentional or not. Now I don't speak Hungarian, but I believe the loser is actually asking if it counted towards the final score, which it did. Fight over. Not very satisfying, and very unfair. Choking is usually never allowed in DWW videos, but then again neither are arm bars, which both of them were using in this fight.
Thanks for that additional info. She looks special. I can't get over her bod.
I can't stand chocking, mostly because it's so easily harmfull and because it causes matches to end so quickly. Oddly enough, as mild as Modelfight can be, one of the matches I just recently ordered had two choke submissions and they were clearly intentional. The fighter that lost commented on them after the match, but not to complain, only to say she had never fought with someone that used that technique before and wasn't ready for it. If she had realized how dangerous it was she might have been more upset. That was her inexperience showing.
Not photos, but screenshots. I only recently discovered that the gypsy catfight mentioned above has been passed on to the next generation in a video game adaptation of the movie. Looks a bit stiff.
Go to YouTube and type in Kirsten Dunst and catfight. She's in a vicious bloody punching catfight and although it's poorly lit ---- she wins, but not unscathed.
Ooops SORRY! It was Reese Witherspooon in FREEWAY!
Anyone who's still curious about Kirsten Dunst look-alikes can now judge with his own eyes, as a short clip of Kati scissoring another blonde is available in DWW's Christmas Counter.
